CFD-Aircraft Aerodynamics
On this page
Overview
Aerodynamic design plays a vital role in the preliminary design in the development of commercial aircraft. It influences the finalisation of external aerodynamic shape. Computational aerodynamics is a numerical method which uses panel methods to solve linear flow models for complex geometry and provides solutions to aerodynamic problems. Problems specific to the aircraft industry can be solved through the use of CATIA for geometric modelling and ICEMCFD & FLUENT for CFD analysis. This course empowers students to carry out CFD analysis related to aircraft aerodynamic problems. |
